Hannu Pro visits NAB 2008

This year the annual NAB (National association of Broadcasters) forum took place in Las Vegas from 11th to 17th of April. Hannu Pro visited both the equipment and technology show and the conferences, which were held before the show, to collect information about latest market developments, which will be useful to producers, TV companies and production studios in the Baltic States. Thomson revealed many of its latest achievements and new developments just before the convention and it was pleasing to see the Lithuanian TEO's IPTV system development being highlighted since it was introduced with the assistance of Thomson's local partner - Hannu Pro. During NAB 2008 Thomson showed numerous improvements to its products - a new 6.5 version of popular news editing system Aurora with MediaFrame metadata architecture support, which allows a significant reduction in news production times; a new Aurora Craft system, which provides a tape-less shared storage and production environment for production workgroups; a new 4.6 version of EDIUS NLE software; enhancement of ContentShare 2 media asset and workflow management system; as well as improvements for Infinity series products including new Rev PRO disks and many more.
