Grass Valley gears up for NAB and announces new products and services

On April 6, 2017 Grass Valley announced a number of new products, what most notably includes a new GV Korona K-Frame V-series mixer, a new GV Matrix SDI router, and a new LDX 82/C82 Series broadcast cameras
Grass Valley introduces the new K-Frame V-series production switcher - a powerful, yet small, companion to the award-winning GV Korona switcher panel
 At only 3RU, this new V-series frame is an ideal complement to the GV Korona switcher panel and fits in locations with limited space but requires no compromises on enterprise features. V-series, as part of the K-Frame family, can be used with any Grass Valley switcher panel (including Karrera and Kayenne) and broadcasters can run multiple panels and shows off the same frame at the same time.
It’s modular for field reconfiguration and serviceability – a true convenience not offered in competitively priced switchers. Supporting up to 32x16 SDI, it offers up to 3 licensed M/Es with 4 keyers each plus 2 additional video processing engines (VPEs) with 4 keyers each for even more keying power. Just like other K-Frames, and unlike any of the competition, all keyers are full function keyers with no loss of functionality even in 3G 1080p mode. Its native 10-bit 4:2:2 processing even supports High Dynamic Range (HDR). It also supports 4K UHD in quad split and 2SI for 4K productions. The V-series has new features specifically targeted for the needs of this market such as HDMI I/O (referred to as MediaPorts), 2 offset analog reference outputs for timing other production equipment and 2 internal multiviewers. In addition to all this, you can license up to a 32GB ImageStore with a RAM Recorder for the largest internal ImageStore on the market in this class of switcher. If that weren’t enough, its unique modularity makes it future proof in its ability to support IP I/O in a later phase.

In addition to LDX 82, LDX C82 Compact Series - the most featured HD Compact camera is also announced
No competitive compact camera can offer the same level of performance in all the 1.5G and 3G HD formats. The LDX C82 Series, a fully self-contained companion to Grass Valley's new LDX 82 Series HD/3G system cameras, is available in two versions: Premiere, for switchable formats, and Elite, for artistic formats; and WorldCam functionality is also available through the GV-eLicense program. Each model includes WCG (wide color gamut) support as a standard feature for even more natural color reproduction in all modes, as well as the optimal HDR (high dynamic range) functionality with a full 15 F-stops (available by eLicense only).
