Hannu Pro helps its customers to get acquainted with Thomson GV systems

At the beginning of October Hannu Pro arranged for its customers an exchange-of-experience visit to Alfacam, the world's largest HD service and production facility, located in the Eurocam Media Center in Belgium, which is also the home of MTV Benelux. With more than 30 mobile HD TV stations (OB VANs) at its disposal, Alfacam provides global mobile TV production services. In October Alfacam carried out the first live show recording in 3D HDTV of J.M.Jarre's "Oxygene". Alfacam is actively participating in
the Beijing 2008 Olympic games, where it will provide 19 HD OB VANs featuring Thomson GV HD production equipment and technology. During the Eurocam Media Center visit, Hannu Pro representatives and their customers familiarized themselves with live production workflow and received detailed information about the Thomson GV equipment being used: LDK HD Super SloMo broadcast cameras (more than 260 units), Kyak un Xten DD mixers, a new 20-channel K2 HD server system (the upgrade of the existing K2 systems), which provides additional HD channels for EURO1080 television, HD ViBE encoders, NetProcessor transport stream processor and EuroLinX wireless HD production systems which are very effective in live coverage of sports events like cycling, sailing and motor sports. Alfacam also provides satellite broadcasts of live shows, opera, ballet and many sports events through its four Euro1080 TV channels (EXQ1, HD1, HD2 and HDNL) in eleven European languages. Alfacam has been a leading TV service provider for several years and can provide a great deal of expertize for TV service developers in the Baltic states.
