Thomson GV sums-up this year's achievements at IBC 2007

· Thomson has started delivery of Infinity ENG cameras and expects by year's end to have shipped more than 100 units. Thomson also supported IBC TV News channel broadcasts into the cable networks of more than 60 hotels during the show. The news was filmed with Infinity cameras, edited with EDIUS NLE systems and delivered through K2 server systems.

· The new generation Thomson ViBE encoders with new, integrated, highly productive Mustang chips, received massive interest from many representatives of leading broadcast organizations. Mustang technology provides high compression rates of up to 4-6 Mbps in HD and up to 1.2-1.7 Mbps in SD resolution without sacrificing picture quality. ViBE encoders have received several prestigious awards globally during 2007.

· Thomson GV has developed new software for its K2 servers: Server software version 3.2 and ProAppCenter. The ASI Media Client for the Media server platform, new more powerful K2 servers and new RAID storage systems using new SAS technology have also been developed.

· Thomson GV offers the new LDK 8000 SportCam HD broadcast camera at a comparable price to the traditional WorldCam HD camera, but providing a Super SloMo feature, for high quality slow motion video capture, in addition to normal frame rates. During the exhibition Thomson GV received orders for more than 60 SportCam units.

· During IBC 2007 Thomson GV and Euroscena showed the world's largest mobile production studio (MPC / OB Van) developed by Thomson GV. Euroscena MPC34 HD mobile TV studio can handle 34 HD broadcast cameras and houses a fully functional onboard TV studio with blue screen, several control rooms, as well as a postproduction facility. All rooms and equipment are housed in three specially designed trucks. If necessary, the studio can service up to 50 cameras to cover large sports events or live shows. Thomson GV is the leader in the global OB Van market, enjoying nearly 70% of OB Van sales.

· Thomson GV has received numerous awards for its technology; Sapphire VOD nPVR, nTS platform received the IBC - CS&I ( Cable & Satellite International) prize as best VOD system, and EDIUS NX Express was recognized as the best nonlinear editing solution and received EISA's 2007/2008 award. Thomson GV also presented the new EDIUS NEO, a more affordable version of its popular EDIUS Pro video editing system.
