As in previous Septembers the Hannu Pro team visited the world's leading broadcast technology forum - IBC 2008. During five days Hannu Pro met its partners to discuss the process of introducing the most progressive technology to the Baltic market and collected additional information about recent developments. As before, Hannu Pro worked actively to organize direct meetings with manufacturers' representatives for its customers, to increase knowledge about the solutions offered.
One of most exciting surprises at the IBC was the Thomson GV Infinity digital media camcorder draw. From several hundreds participants the lucky one was Richardas Kazlauskas, a representative of Hannu Pro customer LNK. The new Thomson GV Infinity 1000/20 camcorder now will serve as a great complement to LNK's Thomson GV LDK studio camera line.
Thomson, which is an unique manufacturer, offering end-to-end turnkey solutions for every production and broadcast workflow phase, also presented its latest developments at the IBC.

Thomson's Infinity Digital Media Camcorder (DMC) expands workflow with additional format support including IMX D10 and supports recording of HD 1080i. 720p, 1080p video with bit rates up to 100 Mbps (4:2:2) to RevPro XP/ER, CompactFlash or external USB media, thus reducing operation costs and production time thanks to native support (without transcoding) of these formats in Aurora and EDIUS nonlinear editing environments. Thomson has added a Cine-style option to Infinity to support recording of full HD 1080p (23.97/25/29.97) and of course, the user can switch any of these formats just before recording.
